From Valerie Tarico:
Are you familiar with www.Kiva.org ? Through local micro-lending agencies, people in developing countries post loan requests—to buy a cow, a sewing machine, fruit to sell, etc. Anyone can go to the site and choose people to lend to, in increments of $25.
Anyhow, the Atheist/Agnostic/Freethinker group has made more loans than any other on the site. It might be an interesting project for your members to get involved in.
I’d say that’s a good idea!
Big Brothers/Big Sisters giving, Kiva, and the SeasonLess food drive. Not bad, folks!
