Yes, you heard that right. Tacoma Atheists is sponsoring this Friday’s Frost Park Chalk-Off (hope it doesn’t rain!) in downtown Tacoma at 9th and Pacific, kitty corner to the India Mahal, so run away from your cubicles very fastly at high noon, and go down and draw on the walls and sidewalks.

Here’s a chance to display your sidewalk-drawing prowess, and for you local artists and cartoonists, to get some much-needed visibility for yourself and your work. To win, you must only prevail against the other challengers of the day.

The prize? Our gift to you: a $40 gift certificate to the Crown Bar. Sit beneath Steve McQueen’s portrait and eat a steak on us godless heathens. ‘Cause everything goes better with Steve.

Tacoma Atheists has quite the thread going on feed>>tacoma. Hey, any publicity is good publicity, says I. And to the gent who asked, we don’t talk about religion, per se, but about atheism (discrimination against, ideas about). And I object that a church is a better building than a bar. A bar is structured for social contact — feeding and talking.
